Georgia Tech's Earth Day Planning Committee partnered with Atlanta Recycling Solutions to host the Third Annual Electronics Recycling Drive during Earth Day 2008.
During the four-hour event we collected 6,568 pounds of electronic waste. Included in this year's donations were 56 monitors and 54 PCs, which was 2,400 pounds more than the amount of e-waste recycled at last year's Earth Day. Atlanta Recycling Solutions handled the removal and processing of these items and in so doing diverted 3.3 tons of waste from landfills.
