Georgia Tech's Earth Day Planning Committee worked with Atlanta Recycling Solutions to host the 8th annual Electronics Recycling Drive during the 2013 Earth Day Celebration on Friday, April 19.
During the 5-hour event, we collected 3,298 pounds of E-waste. An additional 295 pounds of E-waste were dropped off ahead of time at Georgia Tech's recycling office. Atlanta Recycling Solutions handled the removal and processing of these items, which resulted in the diversion of 1.8 tons of waste from the landfill.
