2006 Earthday Maze Survey Results

For the past nine (9) years the Office of Solid Waste Management & Recycling has hosted the Georgia Tech campus celebration for Earth Day. Annually the main attraction is the Earth Day maze. Participants pass through the maze answering questions about the environment, sustainability, and recycling.

Last year our theme was ‘What’s Your Global Footprint?’ It was a wonderful opportunity to survey the Earth Day attendees about their personal global footprint. Participants were grouped into one of three (3) categories: faculty/staff, student, or guest. Then they were asked a series of 5 questions (one question about transportation, consumerism, energy, waste and housing). During the four (4) hour event 1,229 people passed through the maze, offering a significant range of answers.
